Biography

Hi there, my name is Amy Hipwell. I’m a Counsellor and Mindset Coach based in Melbourne, though my journey began in Ottawa, Canada where I spent my first 24 years of life. I then travelled to the UK to live and work, met my husband and found myself calling Australia home, where I’ve been for the last 20 years.

Today, I share life with my husband, our two teenage kids, two dogs, a cat, and even a bearded
dragon. I hold Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Education, as well as a Master of Counselling from Monash University. I’m also a Level 3 Registered Counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association. After years of teaching, I went back to study in order to follow my true passion of helping others. My work is deeply shaped by my passion for mental health and the powerful connection between emotional wellbeing and gut health.

My approach is simple: I meet you exactly where you are. Together, we set goals that feel realistic, achievable, and aligned with the life you want to create. I’m committed to helping you uncover your values, reconnect with your sense of meaning, and build a life that feels purposeful and authentic.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that change becomes possible when you feel supported, understood, and empowered, and that’s the space I strive to create for every person I work with.
