Hi Ms, if you've done the elimination phase for a few weeks and you're having minimal symptoms, you could try eat a teaspoon of raisins and see how you feel. If you get no symptoms then you could try having two teaspoons the next day and so on.

Hi Karin, can you swap sweet potato for white potato (you can only have 1/2 cup sweet potato but substantially more white potato)? Peas are high FODMAP you cannot have those, broccoli heads are fine (not the stalks) up to half a cup, spinach, fish and red meat are all fine. Regarding the purple skinned potatoes, I don't think they've been tested but we are probably going to have to assume they're the same in terms of FODMAP level; 1/2 cup max. Hope this helps. :)

Hi Joe. I signed up for your emails re low fodmap diet but I already have a very restricted diet. The only foods I can eat are sweet potato, carrots, peas, Broccoli , english spinach , fish and red meat. I eat this 3 times a day as everything else gives me severe diarrhoea. How can I follow a low fodmap diet? I am allergic to the nightshade foods and chicken and eggs.
Are the purple skinned white sweet potato classed the same as the orange ones?

Regards
