Ive been taking levothyroxine for about 3 yrs now , but they just keep raising it. I don't see any difference but it making me want more hungry at times. Ive cut out all sugars , chips , fried food , and walk 2 miles 5 days a week and a while trying to loose weight and have not seen or felt any better. I would like to know if there is certain foods that really help. And please dont say eat fish , or any seafood.

In reply to <a href="https://www.dietvsdisease.org/levothyroxine-for-hypothyroidism/#comment-84389">Denyce</a>.

Hi Denyce, ask your doctor if you can try other thyroid medications or supplement with zinc. I'd also recommend exercising more (if you don't already!) to increase testosterone; when testosterone decreases, that can contribute to the hair loss. :)

I’m on the medication right now. I have been taking it for over 10 yrs. I get my TSH every twice a year. The doctor says that I’m on the correct mg. However I see a difference in my hair. It’s starting to fall out and very brittle. What are some things I can do to prevent this?
